Chosen!

Colossians 3: 12
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

I guess when you’re a handpicked person of God, these traits aren’t so hard to believe after all.
I’d love to say that I put all these together all at once, but truthfully, one is just like the other.

Acts of kindness are real difference makers.
What if we challenged ourselves throughout the day, to seek out people who we could be kind to?

I’d be willing to bet it wouldn’t only make our day good, but the kindness recipients too.
The great preacher John Wesley once said;
“Do all the good you can, by all the means you can,  in all the ways you can, in all he places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as you ever can”.

And yet our culture seems to live by… “Kill or be killed!”
I’m pretty sure that’s the exact opposite of kindness.

When we help other people, we actually help ourselves.
Tell me it’s not better to give—than receive.

During Pastor appreciation month (which October is by the way), I can’t begin to tell you the acts of kindness I’ve received.
It sure goes a long way, to keeping a hop in my daily spiritual step.

Today I’m going to pick a few people I’m going to be kind to.
Would you consider joining me? Maybe we could start some kind of movement?

Besides, I’m a chosen man of God, and it’s what I’m called to do…
