Acts 1:
8
8 “But you will receive power when the
Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all
Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
When someone is incarcerated
or put under arrest, the usual thing to happen, is that the law enforcement
officer, will read you your Miranda Rights.
The first sentence in those
rights are; “You have the right to remain silent…”
That may be a lawful thing to
consider when you’re being put under arrest.
That is nothing to consider,
as a follower of Christ.
Jesus said that we should be
His witnesses, in every square inch of this earth.
He’s telling us in essence…
“Don’t remain silent!!”
Why would anyone want to be
silent about Jesus?
We don’t have to be silent,
because when we decided to follow Jesus, we received power.
How are you using that
power?
How has the Holy Spirit been
prompting you to be vocal for Jesus’ sake?
If Jesus met you face to face
today, what kind of a witness would He say you are?
In this case, we don’t have
limited power, but unlimited power.
We do not have the right to
remain silent.
Actually, we should be
completely vocal about how Jesus has changed your life…
Ask yourself: “How will
I be a witness for Jesus today?”
