Grass roots!

Act 2: 42
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

As we explore the early New Testament church, compared to the New Testament church of today, you’ll see some striking differences.
The modern New Testament church today, is a far cry, from what the early church used to be.

Most Early churches were small in nature.
How do we know that? Most people met together and worshipped in homes.

Did you know, that 80% of all churches in the United States, are not Mega churches?
Most churches today in this country, are about 60 people in attendance, or even less.

A Mega church is defined, as a church with 2,000 or more in attendance each Sunday, in multiple services.
It is suggested, that most people attend larger or Mega churches today, because the music is usually very high quality.

Music does not appear to define the early church.
It looks like what was most important, was the apostles’ teaching—fellowship, the breaking of bread and prayer.

Maybe it would be a good idea, to return to the grass roots, of what made the early church so powerful in nature…
