Wake Up!

Hebrews 6: 11 – 12  (NKJV)

And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end,

that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Now is the time to take the Word of God seriously, and yet that is not the case in the lives of many people.

Many people in the church have become sluggish, some have even fallen asleep.

God means what He says, and your opinion or my opinion is not going to change that.

Today, I believe that God looks down upon a church that is more than sluggish, it’s fast asleep.

Jesus is coming back soon, and yet there are people who are totally unconcerned.

Some, once showed signs of diligence in studying God’s Word and had even made it a priority.

The church today, should be wholly dependent upon God and the Holy Spirit, but more and more people today are dependent upon themselves.

The church today does not need anything else, but God Almighty on His throne.

When the study of God’s Word becomes boring, or even if the teacher does not seem to connect anymore, the sluggish, sleeping people will still be judged by God.

Whatever happened to sacrifice? Whatever happened to dying to oneself? Whatever happened to hungering and thirsting after righteousness?

I’m afraid some folks have become addicted to the easy life, and I believe that makes God very sad.

The Word says that we should NOT set our heart on the things of this world, but the fact is, many of us have.

And one day, those worldly things are going to go up in smoke.

I think it’s time to wake up, because those who are sluggish and fast asleep, will not inherit the promises………
