Ecclesiastes 1: 9 –
10
What has been will be again, what
has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under
the sun.
Is there anything of which one can say, "Look! This is
something new"? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our
time.
The reference here in this verse, is that people haven’t
changed much over the years.
Folks still seek ways of corruption, and our desires and what
we pursue, are the same as that of old.
Sometimes we do that with the Word of God, in a
sense.
People go from church, to church, to church, looking for some
new Word or marvelous revelation.
Is there something wrong with the old Word?
The Bible has stood the tests of time, and relative to the
God’s Word, there is nothing new under the sun.
Sometimes the culture likes to put a new spin on the Word, so
they can substantiate and justify their sin.
Maybe before we buy into some new spin, related to the bible,
we should consider this verse.
The old news, is still the GOOD news!
We should probably consider Malachi 3: 6, when we want to invent
something new………"I the Lord do not
change.”
