Ephesians 4: 1 - 3
I urge
you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called,
2 with all humility and
gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,
3 eager to maintain the
unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Are you
eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in your church.
You’d be
surprised at how many in the Body of Christ, aren’t interested in maintaining
anything positive.
We have a
pond at church, and the musk rats chewed a hole in one of the tubes running to
the aerators.
Had we
signed up for the regular maintenance plan like the installer wanted us to,
that little problem wouldn’t be an issue.
The Hebrew
OT word for “maintain”, is “asah”.
One of the
meanings of that word is, “execute”.
In what ways
are you executing your daily walk with the Lord Jesus?
Are you
doing any regular maintenance?
Don’t get
caught flat footed when things break down.
Regular
maintenance is a good thing in the long run.
The
automotive repair shop that we take our vehicles to in Omro, has this on their
marquee out front of their repair shop:
“Regular
maintenance prevents costly repairs”…
