Romans 12: 4 -
5
4 For as in one body we have many
members, and the members do not all have the same
function,
5 so we, though many, are one
body in Christ, and individually members one of
another.
As senseless
as the shooting was in Menasha on Sunday night, something good did come of
it.
People
gathered at a local church at 1pm yesterday to come and pray.
Not just
people from Calvary Bible Church came and prayed, but even people from WCF came
to pray, and other churches too.
That’s what
the Body of Christ does, when another body hurts.
One can’t
argue that some churches have differences within.
Some
churches are almost competitive with other churches, but that doesn’t seem
right.
I met other
church Pastors and leaders from other churches, and something beautiful was
happening.
Although we
all don’t have the same function, we are one body, and the body gathered for
prayer, and for counsel offered to those who were hurting.
Maybe it’s
times like these, that get us focused on the one true church again, and not
individualism.
One day when
we all get to glory, I think when we realize what we disagreed on in principal
on earth, won’t make a whole lot of difference, in a place of
perfection.
Could it be
possible, that God can work something good, out of something so
tragic?
That sure
seems to have been the case in Neenah, with a church that’s really
hurting.
What area of
your life needs to get refocused on the body of Christ, since we’re all members
of one another anyway?
