Philippians 1: 6
…being confident of this, that
he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion
until the day of Christ Jesus.
I hope you realize, that there is an enemy that tries to
defeat us at any given time of the day.
The enemies name is…. “self doubt”, and I think
everyone getting this devotion today, knows precisely what I’m talking about.
The voice inside of us says…… “You’ll never be able to do
that”—“You know you’re not smart enough”
It could be an area of your life, that you’ve been at for a
very long time, and then the voice repeats itself over and over…..
“ You know you just don’t have the strength to carry
on”—“You know you’re never going to make it”—“You know you just don’t have what
it takes”
St. Paul says on the other hand though, that when we are
doing the will of God, that…..HE WILL CARRY IT ON TO COMPLETION!
I don’t know about you, but I just love those seven words J
The good thing about this verse, is that we don’t have to
doubt our own abilities—we don’t even have to look to our own abilities.
The One who started the good work, is the One who is
faithful to bring it to completion.
I personally think we need to give God more credit than we
do. I personally think we need to listen to His voice, more than we do.
Be confident today, that the thing or things that God is
trying to work out in your life, He will take it to full completion.
That’s a sure fire way, to silence that insistent voice of
doubt!
“Gracious God, today I need your help like never before.
The list of things I have to do today seems long and a little on the difficult
side.
Would you be my strength today? Would you provide
everything that I need today? Accomplish in me, Your perfect, and constant
will.
Silence the voice that says I can’t—and reassure me with
Your voice, that says I can! In Jesus name I pray…..Amen!”
