Deuteronomy 30:
11
Now what I am commanding you today is not too
difficult for you or beyond your reach.
Just before making this statement, God said that we
should turn to Him with all our heart, and obey His
commands.
That doesn’t sound too difficult to me, and yet why do
we make it so difficult?
God said He would make us prosperous if we would obey
Him.
He said He would delight in us, if we turned to Him with
all our soul.
I often ask God, what part of my heart and soul have I
not surrendered yet.
Is loving God, really that hard? I don’t think it is,
but I do believe we have a tendency of making it more difficult than it
is.
God said this wasn’t beyond our reach, and I think God
knows what He’s talking about.
Later in this chapter, God said that if we would turn to
other god’s and worship them, we would certainly be
destroyed.
So what’s so hard to understand about that
statement?
It’s a difficult thing to hear, but we sure do worship
all kinds of other gods.
I think while we still have time, we should turn to God,
before He makes things more difficult, than they really
are…………
